A stabilised halogen-contg. polymer (I) contains (a) halogen-contg. polymer or recycled polymer, (b) a di- or poly-saccharide alcohol of formula: C6H11O6(C6H10O5)nC6H13O-5 (with n = 0-5), and (c) an inorganic or organic Zn, Al or rare earth cpd.; if component (b) is maltitol, compsn. (I) does not contain a combination of Ca and Zn soaps. Also claimed is a stabiliser mixt. contg. (b) and (c), with the same limitation as above. Also claimed is a process for the prodn. of (I), by mixing (b) and (c), either as the above mixt. or separately, with polymer (a) and opt. other additives, using a calender, mixer, kneader or extruder, etc.. |
