PRODUCTION OF FINE PARTICLE FOR TONER AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To micronize fine particle, to facilitate removing heat at the time of pulverizing of the fine particles and to improve the efficiency at the time of the micronizing by pulverizing a thermoplastic resin granule mixed with a dry ice granule. CONSTITUTION:A fine powdery raw material (b) (fine powder, fine particle for toner) is produced by mixing the thermoplastic resin granule and the dry ice granule by feeding a raw material such as a polystyrene granule from a resin granule supply part 1 to a pulverizing part 2a of a mill 2 and simultaneously the dry ice granule through a dry ice supply machine 3a from a dry ice supply line 3 to the pulverizing part 2a and operating the pulverizing part 2a by a rotary diving source to micronize the mixed body. And by pulverizing the thermoplastic resin granule in the presence of the dry ice granule, the heat generated by the pulverization is removed by the contact with the dry ice granule and also the heat of vaporization (latent heat) of the dry ice. And the dry ice is used not only for heat cooling source but as an abrasive.
