Described is a simple current-carrying system for a carbon brush system consisting of four brushes. The current is supplied via two buses (1, 2) arranged in a plane, with flags (3, 4, 5, 6) that can buckle out of the plane of the buses. Thus, the contact arm (3') of at least one flag (bridge flag 3) is passed over one bus (2). This yields a quickly assembled system that is of compact design in the axial direction.
