Polling control procedure for decentralised digital communication units

The control system is used for polling a number of decentralised communication devices by a system control by initiating first control sequences at spaced intervals to transmit an interrogation to at least one decentralised device. The first control sequence is interrupted and a second control sequence is initiated when the response information from the interrogated device is detected, with intermediate storage of the responses and interrogation of the next decentralised device in the polling sequence.
