CAPLESS MEDICAL BACKCHECK VALVE

A medical liquid check valve (10) contains a spring-biased piston (30) provided with primary (70) and secondary seals. A sheath (66) extending downward from the primary seal prevents venting air from mixing with the liquid. The sheath is anchored to a vent plug (34) which, in the preferred embodiment, functions as a cross-over for the liquid and air flow paths.
