PURPOSE:To enable continuously operating fuel cell and stably supplying electric power by switching to auxiliary fuel automatically and without instantaneous cut in the case of trouble in main fuel supply. CONSTITUTION:In the case main fuel main fuel supply is in trouble because of an accident, the abnormality is detected from the pressure decrease with a pressure detector provided in the main fuel line 1a and the signal is sent to a controller 11. By this signal, the controller quickly opens an auxiliary shut value 3b and introduces propane gas from an auxiliary fuel supply line 3b. Simultaneously, it closes the main fuel shut valve 3a, calculates necessary steam amount for the auxiliary fuel by switching to the setup for the auxiliary fuel stored in the controller 11, determines the setup of a bypass steam flow meter 21 and the control rate of a bypass control valve 20 and sends the signal to the bypass system. By this, optimum reforming stem amount is supplied to the auxiliary fuel and the fuel cell can be automatically operated continuously in the condition proper for the auxiliary fuel without instantaneous cut of power. |
