PURPOSE:To generate stereophonic sound without increasing the size of the constitution and to select stereophonic or monaural musical sound for each musical sound generator. CONSTITUTION:In accordance with the control of a read address control circuit 53, any one of first to third musical sound waveform data are read out of first and second waveform data memories 51 and 52, a gate circuit 58 is controlled by selection information S/M which is set for every musical sound generator. Further in accordance with whether the second musical sound waveform data read out of the memory 52 are shut off by the circuit 58 or not, each of right and left musical sound waveform data generating circuits 54 and 55 selectively generate stereophonic or monaural musical sound. Thus, there is not need to provide each two of a waveform reading and generating circuit and a waveform data memory which are required for a conventional device and the selection of stereophonic or monaural musical sound is controlled for every musical sound generator. |
