The patrix in the form of a pin consists of a spherical head (8), a round arm (9) and a base (10) and along which slides a hollow mould. The hollow mould forming the matrix is formed by a round, slotted sleeve (3) which is closed at the top by a cover-plate (4) with hole bored through the centre, and slotted on its open side. The side facing the slot is joined by a bridge-piece (5) to a wider anchor piece (6). Both parts, the patrix and matrix, are made of combustible plastics or wax. An extra bridge piece in the form of two rings are attached to the anchor piece of the matrix.
