A vegetable slicer (1) with a feed surface (2) for the items to be sliced has a row of blades (3) transversely to the direction of movement of said items with vertical, mutually parallel blades (31) with their cutting edges facing said items to be sliced. A cutting blade (5) is arranged on a second surface (4) (cutting surface) at the end above the feed surface (2) and parallel thereto. A second row of blades (6) is also arranged in the cutting surface (4).
