The system includes establishing communication between people in order to assist in recovery of lost objects. The lost objects are individually identified by a unique information marker responding to a given algorithm. An electronic message server is accessible via a terminal, and includes a protected access system verifying whether the information supplied responds to the given algorithm. The server includes a system for accepting and memorising the messages from an owner regarding missing object, or from a third party having found an object. The two types of message are associated in memory, and the owner or third party notified.
