PURPOSE:To provide a compact NPC inverter device, capacity of which can be increased, by reducing on-off loss and stationary loss generated in a switching element. CONSTITUTION:First, second, third and fourth switching elements are mounted between the positive electrode and negative electrode of a DC voltage source, reversed polarity diodes D11, D12 are connected among a node between the first and second switching elements S11, S13 and a node between the third and fourth switching elements S14, S12 and a neutral point, and high-speed switching elements having the characteristics of on-off loss smaller than the second and third switching elements S13, S14 are used as the first and fourth switching elements S11, S12. |
