The shelf has support surfaces (10) in tiers which are rectangular and flat, being joined along their long sides by rectangular parts (12) perpendicular to them. A support plate (18) is joined to the free side (16) of the back surface and is perpendicular to it. The shelf rests on a support surface by the free edge of the back surface and the free edge (14) of the front joining part (12a). The surfaces are at an angle to the horizontal (1) of 15-30 degrees. The shelf is made of metal or plastics in one piece.
