The board has a magnetic base element to which can be attached magnetic or magnetisable removable symbols. The first group of symbols (1) is in the form of descriptive theme elements (2). A second group of symbols depict events (3). A third group represent periods of time (4) denoted by numbers. The fourth group are grid elements (5) with an equidistant or logarithmic arrangement of reference lines. The grid and/or theme elements on the base element give columns/lines containing the events and/or time periods. A separate, strip-shaped support applied to the symbol carries the writing, numbering and/or colouring.
