PURPOSE:To work a steel plate whose Young's modulus has been improved in the specific direction through the application of rolling in two phase region and manufacture inexpensively and efficiently by a comparatively simple method, a steel tube or a steel plate which is directional for various purposes. CONSTITUTION:A spiral steel tube 1 is made by a spiral tube welding method by using a two phase region rolled steel plate 2 Young's modulus of which is maximum in the direction vertical to rolling and minimum in the oblique direction at an angle of 45 deg.. A spiral steel tube 1 with a large Young's modulus in the circumferential direction of the tube can be manufactured by narrowing a feed angle (0 deg.<theta<45 deg.). A spiral steel tube 1 with a large Young's modulus in the axial direction of the tube can be manufactured by widening the feed angle (45 deg.<theta<90 deg.). In addition, a spiral steel tube 1 with a small Young's modulus both in circumferential and axial directions can be manufactured by setting the feed angle as theta=45 deg.. A wide steel plate with a different Young's modulus in accordance with direction is obtained by cutting these spiral steel tubes 1 in the axial direction of the tube and spreading it. |
