The appts. includes a voltage supply unit (20) with an analog switch matrix (22) connected to it and to terminals of a measurement bridge (40). Signal (8) and balance (10) amplifiers, a microcomputer (4) an input unit (18) and an indication unit (14), e.g. an LCD display, are also included. The bridges are provided with terminals for at least one supply voltage (25,27) and at least one signal voltage (29,31). The micro computer controls various circuits between the tested measurement bridges the voltage supply unit, the signal input of the signal amplifier and the resistors of the analog switch matrix (22). Various measurement values signifying the functional condition of the measurement bridges are detected via displays on the indication unit.
