PURPOSE:To provide a discriminator which discriminates an individual by a fingerprint capable of easily adapting for the fingerprint with a scar and with superior security. CONSTITUTION:After a password number is inputted from ten keys 8 and designation numbers representing a hand and a finger to be collated are inputted, the fingerprint is read by a fingerprint reader 6. A fingerprint discriminator 5 samples a feature point from a read fingerprint, and outputs fingerprint information, and coincidence/noncoincidenc is judged by collating the fingerprint information with prescribed fingerprint information in the fingerrpint information registered on a registration device. |
