<p>PURPOSE:To form a driving part with only the take-up motor for paper sheets, to reduce the cost of the device and to make it small in size and light in weight by directly driving the paper sheets by a transporting roller. CONSTITUTION:A core part 5 is formed with a piezo-electric element capable of expanding/contracting only at the time of flowing a current and a conductive shape memory plastic on the central part of the roller part 4a of a transporting roller in the direction of a center axis 4d. By making a current flow through the core part 5, it expands, contracts in the radial direction, the roller part 4a also contracts in the radial direction and its surface is separated from a magnetic tape 54. Since the roller part 4a is connected to the core part 5 making an angle theta smaller than 90 deg. in a connecting part 5a, it is rotated in the arrow direction opposite to the transporting direction of the tape and separated from the tape 54. However, the tape tends to come into contact with the surface of the part 4a owing to the tension of the tape. When current conduction is finished, the core part 5 and the part 4a are expanded in the radial direction and contact force between the tape 54 and the surface of the part 4a becomes large. Since the part 4a rotates in the traveling direction of the tape reversely to the direction at the time of contraction, the tape 54 is transported in the rotating direction of the roller by the rotation of the part 4a.</p> |
