By the method ceramic composite bodies having multiple volume wall elements are produced, each wall element having specific cross section for the formation of continous grooves (ducts) for fluids. The wall elements are a mirror image of the figure of the mould.Each of the axially positioned elements consists of a ceramic mould of filling material and is produced by the oxidation of the base metal until polycrystalline material is produced containing basically the product of the oxidation of the base metal with an oxidizer and possibly one or more metals, i.e.non-oxidized particles of the base metal.
