A dry disinfectant composition for solution in water for the disinfection of soiled infants' napkins comprises the admixture of a chloroisocyanuric acid or a salt thereof (e.g. trichloroisocyanuric acid or sodium dichloroisocyanurate), a water-soluble aryl N-chlorosulphonamide (e.g. chloramine T) and a water-soluble solid organic surface active agent. The organic surface active agent is preferably sodium lauryl sulphate or sodium dodecylbenzene sulphonate and inorganic detergent phosphates (e.g. sodium tripolyphosphate) may also be present in the compositions. The compositions may also include inorganic salts as fillers and extenders; acids or acid salts, e.g. citric acid, NaHSO4 and NaHCO3; anti-caking agents, antidusting agents, anti-redeposition agents, optical brightening agents, perfurmes and deodorants. |
