A circuit board (1) has an edge-mounted connector that engages a socket at the rear end. A mechanism is provided to simplify the disengagement of the connection. The mechanism has a pivot (17) mounted lever (4) that has shaped claws on the lower edge that can engage holes (21) in a rail (21) fixed to the housing. The rear of the mechanism has a guide block (9) secured to the board. When the lever is pushed downwards the rail is engaged and the board is pulled forward.
