An overhead door (10) for a structure (11) which includes a pair of tracks (40) having inwardly facing surfaces which define a channel (71), and wherein the channels (71) are mounted in predetermined substantially parallel spaced relation one to the other, a door panel (100) located intermediate the pair of tracks (40) and moveable along a predetermined path of travel which is defined by a pair of tracks (40), and a release assembly (160) borne by the door panel (100) and operable to releasably engage at least one of the tracks (40), the release assembly (160) including a moveable plunger (180) which is received in the door panel (100) along the path of travel and which further becomes disengaged from the channel (71) when force of a predetermined magnitude is applied to the door panel (100).
