<p>The sheet material is made from a base layer, esp. of a polyolefin, and an outer layer of a plastic with non-slip properties, both reticulated. The two layers are produced separately by extrusion and are joined together by means of an adhesive or by thermo-fusion, especially by softening the upper surface of the base layer with a flame. The outer layer is thinner than the base layer of the sheet material, e.g. in a ratio of between 1 :2 and 1 : 30, with the outer layer being between 0.2 and 2 mm thick. The base layer can be made, for example, from polyethylene with a thickness of 4 mm and a 5 x 5 mm mesh, and the outer layer of EVA 1.1 mm thick and a 2 x 2 mm mesh.</p> |
