The high strength hot rolled steel plate is mfd. by (a) hot rolling a steel composed of 0.12-0.25 wt.% C, 0.2-0.5 wt.% Si, 1.0-2.0 wt.% Mn, 0.02-0.12 wt.% Al, 0.001-0.005 wt.% B, 0.15-0.4 wt.% Cr, at most 0.05 wt.% Ti and/or at most 0.05 wt.% Nb, residual Fe, and impurities at 850-890 deg.C, and (b) winding it at 620-670 deg.C. The hot rolled steel plate has a good bending characteristic, and is used for door-reinforcing parts of vehicles.
