PURPOSE:To restrict the transfer of vibration and hereby ensure comfortableness of an air conditioner by providing a vibration damping apparatus and a buffer member. CONSTITUTION:There is provided a vibration damping apparatus such as a coiled spring on a mounting screw part for connecting an indoor unit and a decorative panel 2. Buffer members are provided at a contact surface between the indoor unit 1 and the decorative panel 2 and at a contact surface between the decorative panel 2 and a ceiling member 3. Hereby, vibration produced from the indoor unit is prevented from being transferred to the ceiling member 3 and an illumination instrument 4 through the decorative panel 2.
