PURPOSE:Tripod type universal joint to try improving of durability and lubrecity on rolling surface, providing spiral grease groove on the contact rolling surface on the roller shape race groove and cylindrical shape race groove at least one end. CONSTITUTION:In the tripod type universal joint composed of the first shaft 1 which plural tripod shaft 3 is fixed radially from shaft center, the same number of roller 5 fitted on the every tripod shaft 3 forming spherical surface on the outer surface, the second shaft 7 provided the same number of axial cylindrical race groove which outer surface of roller 5 is supported rolling, spiral grease grooves 9, 11 are formed on the above roller 5 and on the both or one contacting rolling surface of race groove 8. Thereby, the lubricating oil can be maintained in the grease grooves 9, 11, therefore wear on the rolling contacting surface an be redused, durability is improved. |
