PURPOSE:To firmly and easily attach the end cover of an automobile door handle device to an escutcheon. CONSTITUTION:An automobile door handle device has an escutcheon 1; a handle 2 rotatably journalled to the escutcheon 1 by a shaft 3; a spring 4 for pressing the handle 2 against the escutcheon 1; and an end cover 5 disposed between the escutcheon 1 and a door panel 6 when the escutcheon 1 is secured to the door panel 6. A claw portion 1a to be locked with the door panel 6 is formed integrally with the escutcheon 1, and a rib 8 is provided between the claw portion la and the escutcheon 1, and the end cover 5 is attached to the escutcheon 1 as it is guided by the rib 8. The curved edge 5a of the end cover 5 is made to abut to the rib 8 so as to smoothly and firmy attach the end cover 5 to the escutcheon 1. |
