PURPOSE:To prevent damage of a preliminary drive/stop switch when an impact force is operated at an air conditioner by disposing an end of an operating protrusion of the switch inside from an inner surface of a hole of a front panel. CONSTITUTION:An end of an operating protrusion 3 of a preliminary drive/stop switch 4 is disposed about 1.5mm inside of an inner surface of a hole 11 of a front panel 7. The hole 11 is so formed in a diameter of about 15mm as to insert a human finger. E A reinforcing rib 12 which is gradually increased in width from its top to a base is formed on an inner surface of one sidewall 6B of a U-shaped holding frame 6. The rib 12 may be not only one but also two or more, or may be provided on an inner surface of the other sidewall 6A. The rib may be formed only at bases of the sidewalls 6A, 6B. Thus, even if an impact force is applied, the protrusion of the switch is not brought into contact with the panel.
