Welding control system

To control and reset an electro-welding appts., with at least two electrodes, during operation a preset number of welds are made in succession using constant welding parameters. The welding parameters and/or the electrode surface geometry are adjusted by a step until welding splashes start to appear. The welding parameters and/or the electrode surface geometry adjustments are reversed slightly, followed by the preset number of welds. Also claimed is an appts. with an electronic unit to detect welding splashes with reliable evaluation, to generate a signal for the welding control to adjust the welding parameters and/or the electrode surface geometry.
