Sensor for early detection of excessive temp. and local fire sources in transformers, windings, coils and transducers

The sensor consists of a signal line (1) with a transmitter and receiver (2) at one or both ends. The signal flow is interrupted when an excess temp. and/or burning occurs locally . The sensor is mounted in the object to be protected so that all vulnerable parts of the object can be detected. When a defined temp. is exceeded locally the signal flow is interrupted or distorted at several points and hence an alarm is triggered and/or the object being monitored is switched off. In the case where the object is a winding the sensor can be wound in with it.
