摘要 There are described bovine thymopoietin or thymopoietin-like cDNA clones containing a sequence corresponding to at least part of bovine thymopoietin mRNA by virtue of the fact that it includes at least the sequential nucleotides in the following structure corresponding to amino acids 18 to 49: <IMAGE> Examples are given of such cDNA clones contain either the whole of the nucleotide sequence corresponding to amino acids 1 to 49, or a nucleotide sequence corresponding to amino acids 18 to 49. Further aspects are a bovine thymopoietin mRNA species having a nucleotide sequence corresponding to the nucleotide sequence of the cDNA clones of the invention; the deduced protein sequence according to the translatable part of these mRNA species (and bioactive cleavage fragments deduced therefrom); isolated and purified DNA clones which contain bovine thymopoietin gene sequence and include the sequence corresponding to amino acids 1 to 44;as well as cDNA and DNA produced by hybridization from a cDNA clone or an isolated and purified DNA clone according to the invention. <IMAGE>
