摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an ammonia contact reducing denitration catalyst excellent in decomposition characteristics for nitrogen oxides compared with a conventional vanadium oxide catalyst by incorporating an ammonium metavanadate deriv. expressed by the specified formula and at least one kind of metal oxide. CONSTITUTION:The ammonia contact reducing denitration catalyst contains an ammonium metavanadate deriv. expressed by the formula and at least on kind of metal oxide. In the formula, x, y and z satisfy 0.1<=x<=1.0, 2.5<=y<=3.0, 0<=z<=2.0. The ammonium metavanadate deriv. as the catalyst has less diffraction peaks and has peaks in a smaller angle region in the X-ray diffraction spectrum compared with diffraction peaks of ammonium metavanadate and vanadium pentoxide as the source material. This indicates that the deriv. has an irregular crystalline structure compared to ammonium metavanadium and vanadium pentoxide and uneven distribution of active points for the reaction is produced on the surface of the catalyst. Thus, the activity for the reaction is increased.
