<p>PURPOSE: To judge the operating state of the electronic controller of a vehicle by outputting data impressed by a self-diagnostic controlling means by the control signal of the self-diagnostic controlling means, and executing a function selected by the self-diagnostic controlling means. CONSTITUTION: A self-test controlling part 4 displays the designations of all electronic controllers through a data outputting part 6 to an electronic controlling part 2 fixed to an automobile selected by a keyboard. A user selects the electronic controller which tries to execute a self-diagnostic operation by using the keyboard of a data inputting part 7. All self-diagnostic functions for diagnosing the operation of the electronic controller of the selected automobile type are outputted through the data outputting part 6. Then, the desired function is selected, and the operated result and operating state of the electronic controller are judged. The self-test controlling part 4 executes the selected function corresponding to the selected electronic controller of the electronic controlling part 2. Therefore, the operating state and operated result of each electronic controller can be confirmed and diagnosed so that the cause of a fault can be easily judged.</p> |
