Fig. 2 illustrates a cross-section through a thread-guide grooved drum 1 at the reversal point of the groove 2. A rod-shaped wear resistant body 3 is inserted obliquely into the drum 1 so that its lower end enters the groove, said lower end 5 being conical. The conicity is so selected that (a) the contour of the groove wall remains substantially unchanged and (b) the thread does not tend to ride up the body 3.</p> |
