A triple stranded DNA useful in gene therapy which comprises a paired-ion oligonucleotide bound to a complementary double-stranded DNA, wherein the paired ion oligonucleotide comprises a polyanionic triplex-forming oligonucleotide covalently bonded to a polycationic polymer via a cross-linking agent.
