The method is characterised in that 1. to acidic, liquid byproducts, secondary products or waste products of the foodstuff industry, of the animal feed industry or of the carcass rendering industry or mixtures thereof with a pH below 5.5 is added as chelating agent 2. fly ash or plant ash or a mixture of these in an amount which suffices to increase the pH 3. liquid yeast or yeast liquids or mixtures thereof are added to the mixture, the resulting liquid or pasty product is dried through rollers or a tower to a residual moisture content and, where appropriate, comminuted in a manner known per se by grinding or granulating, where the sequence of the stages can be arbitrary. Also described is a concentrate which contains trace elements and its use.
