A drum beater assembly, comprises a base (10); shaft means (18) and pedestal means (11, 12) on the base (10) supporting the first shaft means for rotation. A primary drum beater (21) is carried by the shaft means (18), and a pedal (31) on the base is operatively connected to the shaft means, for rotating same. There is a heel plate (34) on the base (10); as well as a roller bearing pivot support (33) proximate the heel plate (34) which supports the pedal (31) for pivoting forwardly of the heel plate. The pedestal means (11, 12) mounts a second shaft means (19) to which a secondary drum beater (22) is affixed, rotation of shaft means (19) being brought about by a second pedal assembly (91); the drum beaters (21, 22) are independently operable. <IMAGE>
