PURPOSE:To prevent the halation of a light supply means in a surface light source device using a light scattering light transmission body. CONSTITUTION:A fluororescent lamp L is arranged on one side surface of the light scattering light transmission body 1 provided with a rough wedge shape. A light outgoing direction correction element 4 provided with prism surfaces 4a, 4b of a line shape are arranged on the side of light take-out surface 5 of the light scattering light transmission body 1, and a luminous flux (f) is obtained making the flat surface 4e as a surface light source. When a liquid crystal display device is arranged further upward the element 4, a liquid crystal display device is constituted. A silver foil sheet 3 is arranged along the rear surface 6, and an opposite slope part 6a is arranged in the vicinity area of a light incident surface 2 of the rear surface side of the light scattering light transmission body 1 as a reflection-in prevention means 7 preventing the reflection-in of the light source L. The halation prevention means 7 is formed e.g. by providing the part 6a provided with the slope in the direction where the thickness of the light scattering light transmission body 1 is increased in accordance with separating from the light incident surface 2 on the rear surface part close to the light incident surface 2. By the opposite slope part 6a, the halation of the light source 1 due to multiplex reflection occurring in the vicinity of the light incident surface 2 is prevented. |
