PURPOSE: To control selection between two duplex copying sheet paths of a trayless path and a duplex copying tray path, by providing the two duplex copying sheet paths. CONSTITUTION: This copying machine has at least two selectable copy sheets as duplex copying paths, one of them is a trayless path 154 for sending directly a single face copying sheet from an outlet means 80 to a duplex copying sheet path 158 along the path, and the other is a duplex copying tray path for sending the single face copying sheet to a duplex copying buffer tray 22 along the path to store temporarily it before sending it to the duplex copying path 158. The copying machine is further provided with a path selecting means 152 for switching the copy sheet to the trayless path 154 or the duplex copying path 158, and a control means 94 for controlling the selecting means 152 in response to a prescribed condition. The prescribed condition comprises the combination of the number of executed copy and a copy sheet size, and is input by an operator to automatically conduct the selection for the paths. |
