The returning selection device for an internal control axle (4) of a mechanical gear box towards an equilibrium position comprises two co-axial springs (13,16). The two springs are disposed around the control axle. The two springs (13,16) are put on top of each other for at least one of the ends (13',16') against a fixed point (1,1') of the gear box.
