PURPOSE:To provide a method for extending a power facility in which the dielectric strength test can be made for the power facility to be extended even under the conducting (charged) state of existing power facility. CONSTITUTION:Under a state where an existing power facility 7 is applied with an end cover 3, a plurality of positioning bar members 9 are screwed to the externally threaded ends of a plurality of bolts 5 projecting from the flange 4. The positioning bar members 9 are screwed, on the other ends thereof, to the bolts planted on the flange of a power facility 8 to be extended thus installing the new power facility 8. Subsequently, dielectric strength test is made for the extended power facility 8 while conducting the existing power facility 7. |
