<p>PURPOSE:To improve performance by arranging a pair of electrodes via a space to constitute dust collecting electrodes, coating the one electrode with an inorg. compd. and applying a high voltage to this electrode. CONSTITUTION:The dust collecting electrodes 3 are constituted in the same manner as for a conventional two-stage type electrostatic dust collector. Namely corona 15 generated by the discharge electrode 32 of a DC high-voltage power source 31 to electrify the dust in the first stage. The dust is collected on the dust collecting electrode 34 by the Coulomb force generated by the electric field consisting of a high-voltage electrode plate 33 of the same polarity as the polarity of the discharge electrode 32 and the grounded dust collecting electrode 34 in the second stage. This highvoltage electrode plate 33 is coated with the inorg. compd. such as hydrous alumino silicate ore. In such a case, the electrode plate is formed by coating the surface of a planar electrically conductive material, for example, metal, such as aluminum, with the powder of the hydrous alumino silicate ore and press forming the material.</p> |
