PURPOSE:To shorten piercing process and treat the end parts of a skin material around the peripheral edge of an opening in a sightly manner in a method of producing the automotive interior trim part with the opening for mounting a separate part. CONSTITUTION:A lower mold press die 30 is provided with blocking pieces 60 at its sloping parts. At the time of mold press formation by lower and upper mold press dies 30 and 40, the flow of molten resin is blocked by the blocking pieces 60 and the opening equal to the blocking piece 60 in cross section is formed simultaneously with the mold press formation.
