PURPOSE:To produce a polyester film which has a high stiffness, excellent antistatic properties. and a high adhesive strength. CONSTITUTION:This film is produced by coating at least one side of a longitudinally stretched arom. polyester film with a water-base polyester soln. and stretching the coated film transversely, then longitudinally, and if necessary transversely again. The soln. contains as the main component a hydrophilic polyester which is formed by reacting a dicarboxylic acid component contg. 5mol% or higher phenylindanedicarboxylic acid compconent with a dihydroxy compd. component. contains 0.005-0.45mol% units derived from a dicarboxylic acid or dihydroxy compd. having a sulfonate group, and has a glass transition point of 60-160 deg.C. |
