A method of qualitatively and/or quantitatively assaying a complex formed between secretin and a ligand thereof, which comprises bringing a biological sample into contact with an antibody recognizing the secretin moiety of the complex and an antibody recognizing the ligand moiety thereof, and assaying the bonding of the complex with the secretin-moiety recognizing antibody and that of the complex with the ligand-moiety recognizing antibody in the product of contact; and a diagnostic kit for cancer metastasis, inflammatory diseases or vascular diseases which comprises a set of the secretin-moiety recognizing antibody and the ligand-moiety recognizing antibody.
