The walls of the corner pad (E) are made from a flat cut-out piece (2) on which are grooved lines (12g-12, 14g-14i, 16h, 18a-c), notched lines (12f,14f,1tf) and incisions (12k,14k,16k,20). The walls are folded with each possessing at least two superimposed panels (12-d, 16a-d) so that the parts near the folded grooved and notched lines are joined by continuous layers of material. Each wall of the corner pad has four panels folded on top of each other. The cut-out section has two parallel rows of panels (12a-d, 14a-d, 16a-d).
