Gasifier, esp. for treating waste water, has at least one tubular introduction body and a rectangular gas supply distributor (10) which is equipped with a condensate trap. The trap is arranged inside the gas distributor. The trap comprises a cage (14) with openings (16) and contains a float (18) and a lower seal (20) on which the float can be seated. On the outside of the distributor there is a condensate receiver (42) connected by a condensate duct (22) to the cage.
