As assembly generates extremely short back-shock impulses at regular intervals onto the permeate collected by a transverse-flow micro filtration surface. The assembly incorporates a permeate chamber (3g, 3h) which is separated from a pressure generating chamber by a movable dividing wall (3c). The wall can be moved suddenly such that a given portion of the liquid present in the permeate chamber (3g, 3h) is ejected from the chamber resulting in a sudden increase in pressure on the filter body permeate side (1d). The novelty is that the movable separation wall (3c) is formed as a tube. Further that the permeable chamber (3g,3h) is limited by the inner face of the tube, and that a perforated supporting tube (3f) is arranged within the permeate chamber (3g,3h) on which the separation wall (3c) is supported.
