A sliding bearing, particularly for accommodating axial thrust, includes pressure pads (4) which are fitted by means of pins (14) into bores (16) of a carrier (2) so as to be tiltably movable. On each pin there is at least one O-ring (20) which is of rubber or a rubber-like material to prevent the pressure pad with its pin falling out of the carrier during the assembly.
