PURPOSE:To obtain a certified identification card, the productivity of the base material of which is excellent and the finished state of which is high grade, by a method wherein the card is equipped with bibliographical information and identification picture under the condition that at least the identification picture is heat-transferred and printing layer representing a specific form is provided on the layer, on which the identification picture produced by heat-transferring is carried. CONSTITUTION:The card is equipped with bibliographic information and identification picture 3' under the condition that at least the identification picture 3' is heat- transferred and printing layer 2 representing a specific form is provided on the layer, on which the identification picture 3' produced by heat-transferring is carried. Further, the heat-transferring of the identification picture 3' is carried out with a thermal head. The printing representing the form in the direction intersecting the main scanning direction of the thermal head is prevented from being applied within the portion of at least 5mm or less from the heat-transferred region as indicated by the point A. Thus, offset printing can be carried out on picture receiving layer while the good quality of the picture heat-transferred is maintained, resulting in allowing to obtain favorable productivity. |
