CONSTANT SPEED TRAVELING CONTROL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To improve durability of an electromagnetic clutch mechanism by reducing state switching frequency of the electromagnetic clutch mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A motor is driven so that actual throttle opening conforms with target throttle opening set by a target throttle opening setting means as well as an electromagnetic clutch 22 is driven so that a throttle valve 9 and the motor (throttle valve driving means) 21 are connected to each other at the time when a constant speed traveling condition is established. A throttle opening control means which drives the throttle valve 9 to a totally closed range while driving an electromagnetic clutch mechanism at the time of switching to non-establishment from establishment of the constant speed traveling condition and which interlocks the throttle valve 9 with an accelerator pedal 2 and an abnormality judging means which judges whether the motor 21 is driven in the direction of close driving the throttle valve 9 on the basis of a condition of the motor 21 and which drives the electromagnetic clutch 22 to separate the throttle valve 9 from the motor 21 by way of judging it as abnormal in the case when the motor 21 is not driven in the direction of close driving the throttle valve 9 are furnished.
